Waiting For a Miracle

...He's holding a menorah in one hand. Is he going to throw it or club someone with it?

Our review: You gotta love a woman who thinks like this.
Author Jennifer Wilck has incorporated two essential plot techniques by creating characters who are direct opposites, then throwing them into the deep end of the pool—sans life preservers.           It's a delight to watch Rachel and Benny battle their way out of the water, ably abetted by two charmers—six year-old Jessie and Harriet, Benny's matchmaking mother. Throw in the background and customs associated with the celebration of Hanukkah, and you've got yourself a charmer of a story. Well done, Ms. Wilck.

On a scale of 1—5, Waiting for a Miracle rates a 5.
