Numbers
Game, a contemporary romance, written
by author duo Liz Crowe and Desiree Holt, is a current release out of the Scarlet
Rose line for the Wild Rose Press.
Duncan
Hatcher made several serious mistakes in the past, for which he paid a high
price. He now works a recovery program each and every day while transitioning from
pro quarterback to coach of a flagging college program. Likewise, sports
journalist Olivia Grant made the same mistake as women have for centuries by
placing her trust in the wrong man. The price she paid turned out to be as disastrous
as those made by Hatch.
Their
initial meeting sparks an immediate and intense attraction but each must
overcome past mistakes and almost crippling fear of making the same mistake
twice. Despite sometimes overwhelming obstacles, the two work together to
recover, heal, and move on to the next step in their lives.
Our Review:
What romance enthusiast resists a hunky hero, winning heroine and a second
chance at love? Not us. Enhancing this terrific story, set against a colorful
background of college sports and the intensity of journalistic rivalry, authors
Crowe and Holt crafted two multi-layered characters whose goals, motivation and
conflict made for a compelling read from page one. Adding to the mix is fast-paced
action, steamy romance, and well-deserved retribution.
On a
scale of 1-5, Numbers Game deserves a 6
