The War of the Wedded by Toni V. Sweeney

About The Book: Axel Redhu, deadly warrior, swears to serve his master in every way for the good of the kingdom. But on one Spring day what his liege—and birth father—asks of him will try Axel’s loyalty to the limit.

From the day of her birth, Astrid Eriksdotter, daughter of Edelrof, Nord King, has been taught duty to king and country. But on a certain day in Spring, she is little prepared for what her father expects of her.

Our Review: The Wars of the Wedded could easily spring from any era, any generation. From “The Battling Bickersons” to “West Side Story” to the “War of the Roses”, this witty and irreverent love story by Toni V. Sweeney reminds us of duty to family and country—often to the sacrifice of self.

On a scale of 1-5, The War of the Wedded deserves a 6.
