…She coaches him in team leadership…but
do they both need lessons in love?
Love Leads the Way, a sweet contemporary romance from the Wild Rose
Press, written by Margot Johnson.
Between her demanding position
as a Human Resources ace, Tessa Shore juggles her responsibilities of a single
parent with an active four-year-old and advocating for her elderly mother who
is suffers from advanced dementia. Romance is the last thing Tessa wants or
needs in her busy life.
Intensely private engineer
Mark Delaney also balances a similar rasher of plates: a demanding career, the
care and supervision of his orphaned adolescent niece, and a mother also suffering
from dementia. Driven by inborn rules which demand perfection at all times, the
last thing he needs is the message from superiors to improve his “people skills”
. . . or else.
Imagine his surprise when the
teacher of such skills is beautiful, talented, as driven as he—and equally untouchable.
Discovering mutual ground and improving communication proves to be crucial to
their futures, both professional and personal
Our Review: Author Margot Johnson explores in depth several
important issues facing many in modern society: how to effectively combine parenting
with the demands of a job; the myriad issues surrounding single parenting; and,
for some, the responsibility of seeing to the needs of elderly parents. In Love
Leads the Way Johnson has handled each of these topics masterfully, entertaining
without preaching, bringing humor to some potentially serious issues. Well
done!
On a scale of 1-5, Love
Leads the Way deserves a 4.
